Steele's School Station/5 months n' growin'!
Steele turned 5 months on January 15th! He continues to grow and mature daily. He is now talking up a storm (baby sounds are so stinkin' cute!), scooting forward and backward, stepping in a walking motion when being held up, munching on his toes, and ate his first solid food: sweet potatoes!
I also made a goal to create a learning station in Steele's room prior to him hitting the 6 month mark. And I did it!
Patrick and I wanted to ensure that Steele has early exposure to the fundamental building blocks of education. Since 6 weeks of age, Steele has been 'in school!' Grandmother Reed transformed a bedroom into a learning/ playroom for Steele and his cousin, Parker. Daily reading, music, color recognition, etc. are routine while he's there. Honey reads to Steele in the morning and plays a Baby Genius or Preschool Prep video lesson. I follow up in the evening with another instructional video and storytime. (He really loves books!)
It's never too early to invest in your child's education or to create invaluable educational experiences! You are your child's first and most important teacher!
